Many people that embark upon a journey to change their life and their body often like to think that it is all about losing weight. This is a harmful and deconstructive mentality that often ends up hurting an exercise regimen in the long run. People become so obsessed with losing weight and looking good, they forget that the best parts about being in shape is that you feel great and have a better general mood and more energy. Getting in shape isn’t just about getting a good-looking body, but cultivating yourself to have a better mentality that will help you embrace life and have a general better quality of life. Exercising regularly helps to release endorphins, the feel good chemical in the brain. This also breeds a better perspective and positive attitude that will make it easier and easier to tackle obstacles that you come across in your life. You would be surprised to find that a large portion of your mood is effected by not your mental state, but your physical one. If you are eating harmful foods and living a sedentary lifestyle, ingesting various poisons and toxins in your body in the form of soda and other processed foods, it tends to breed a general poor mental health as well as a physical one. That is why people who eat fast food and don’t exercise, though they have a higher calorie diet, often feel less energetic and in a worse mood. Eating properly and exercising regularly will help you maintain a good outlook.
